The only way to keep up is to carry on learning. Investing ourselves in this way helps us to enrich our skills and knowledge and move forward in our careers.
Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.
As an employee, I always dream of something bigger than myself. We must take into account the importance of continuous learning in the workplace.
When we say learning, it takes a lot of courage and effort. It takes hard work and perseverance to gain something extraordinary.
Our every Monday session tackles motivations, recognitions, announcements, and greeting for each and every one in the workplace. The time for chatting and creating a good working environment.
When we say February it means “Heart Month”, a short discussion about health and some trivia about broken Heart syndrome,
Did you know that there is an existing disease “Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy” or what they called, “Broken Heart Syndrome”?
It was first described in 1990in Japan. A temporary heart condition with symptoms like those of a heart attack. It can cause shortness of breath and chest pain like in a heart attack.
However, you don’t have blocked coronary arteries or permanent heart damage in broken heart syndrome. And you usually make a fast and full recovery. It can occur at any age in both men and women, but it mostly affects older women.
What is the cause? The cause isn’t fully understood yet. However, they believe that a stressful event can cause it. When you react to physical or emotional stress, your body releases stress hormones in your blood.
Experts think that these hormones temporarily interfere with your heart’s function.
After the short session on health, the speaker of the day, Sir Carlo Layog, gives us a brief and heartwarming message about the importance of continuous learning in the workplace.
Here are some of my takeaways continuous learning is very important.
Stay Competitive
Consistency is hard to achieve but consistency develops new skills. It takes a lot of courage and effort to be on this track. There are times you are going to fail but trust me it is your way to achieve something bigger and relevant in your life. I am open to new responsibilities and trying out new technologies to remain competitive, I will do whatever it takes, just to stay competitive. In my past years, I always fear changes, but as I age, I learned that in fear there is opportunity.
Build Leadership
Leading is one of the most crucial processes of continuous learning. You have to demonstrate leadership skills. You have to be a listener and you must also know how to learn. You have to set a good example. Promote inclusivity. And the very best important, be a good communicator and strive for authenticity.
Improve Knowledge Retention
We need to challenge our mental ability. And in my own experience, retention comes from the start when you are engaging in some training and collaborations. We must determine the necessary training applicable to your goals and objectives. And when we say training it means – an unforgettable experience.
The culture of helping each other to learn is ever-present in the organization, in true Kaibigan fashion. This makes learning experiences more fun and exciting.
Lifelong learning helps us adapt to unexpected changes. Are you eager to learn? Do you want to learn? Our life is a continuous learning process and the process of learning is backbreaking, there are unexpected things coming our way but they will help us learn and grow.
It doesn’t matter how slow we are in life as long as we a moving! And that’s fine! So,
Let us work hard, and play hard.
