Hi friends, how are you all? First of all, I would like to wish those of you who are Muslim a happy fasting pilgrimage. Hopefully our fasting can run smoothly.
Yesterday was the first day my family and I fasted. But unfortunately I can't fast because I'm menstruating. Unfortunately, on the first day of fasting I couldn't fast.
The fasting month is a month that we look forward to every year, where we can cook various takjil menus, this has become a tradition.
The first day of fasting I cooked various types of food that contained oil, fried food was the most delicious food to use as an appetizer, don't forget sweet drinks.
The pictures below are various menus that I made yesterday, hopefully this menu can be an idea for those of you who want to change the menu for breaking the fast.
Dry fried tempeh with flour
This is fried tempeh that I fried until dry, this tempeh is a type of mendoan but I fried it until crispy.
Vegetable bakwan
This is vegetable bakwan, my favorite food. This bakwan is made from flour and vegetables, then added with spices.
Fried tofu with filling
I made this fried tofu using hollow tofu. Then I put in the seasoned filling, before frying the tofu I coated it with flour mixture first.
French fries
I made these fries especially for my son, he said he wanted to eat fries when breaking his fast. I buy frozen potatoes and fry them.
Fried vermicelli with sausage
I also made fried vermicelli with sausage mixture. Fried vermicelli is also one of the favorite menus when breaking the fast.
Sweet drinks, iced drinks
Finally, the sweetener, this is a drink like mixed ice. I made it with various ingredients including full cream milk, syrup and sweetened condensed milk. I put lots of fillings like jelly, avocado and so on. It's very fresh.
That's the menu for breaking the fast that I make, I prefer to cook at home unless there are exceptions out there. I feel that cooking it myself will be more economical and the results will be quite large. During the fasting month like this, lots of people sell takjil with a variety of different food menus. On the side of the road it will be very busy in the afternoon, they will be looking for menus to break the fast.
