The Weekend’s Embrace: A Chilly Twilight

People from all walks of life anticipate about the weekend. Everyone is looking forward to the weekend. Be it a student or an employee, mother or father, young or old. Who doesn’t like a day-off when we can wander and relax without thinking about work or studying? Mine today is just one of the many ordinary weekends I wanted to put up on my post. This was the time when after sending off my elderly mom to be with her friends, I went out too straight to the mall. Nothing to buy but just let my teens went around for a Pokemon Go for my son, and a little shopping for my girl. Going around with teens is totally exhausting. They have too much to look for and they can’t seem to stop going here and there. I asked myself if we mothers were like that too in our teenage years. Well, the answer is obvious. I really think so, hahahahaha. I guess that's a stage in life everyone has to experience.

When I thought we had enough I suggested we must be somewhere else before it gets dark and enjoy the rest of the day there. I wanted to be a passenger and enjoy the scenery in that trip so I suggested the we will just board the exclusive shuttle for that spot. True enough, I made the right decision. As much as I was pleased with that trip, I felt safer and free from the tricky maneuvers through the winding uphill roads.

This was our destination. The renowned Tops of Cebu, the best place to go to if you want a wider view of the city. The spot has a lot of dining establishments to choose from when you get hungry going around for photoshoot or a chitchat with friends and family. It was extra chilly that time for it rained a short while in the late afternoon. And unfortunately, we weren’t clothed for it appropriately since it was never planned. I always like unplanned moments. Their significance is memorable as we recollect memories down the lane.

This was taken after the rain. In spite of the chilly blows of wind, the capture is still grandeur. It is such a wonderful view that we wouldn’t get tired of gazing. A bird’s eye view of the tri-cities (Cebu City, Mandaue City, and Lapu-Lapu City). When zoomed, the 9-kilometer expressway is visible in this photo.

Below were captures before it totally got dark. A moment when teens braced the chilly wind just to gain these shots.

Twilight is such a kind splitting moment letting go of the day and giving a way to the night. This universe is totally amazing. And it's now getting dark.

As much as we got to enjoy going around the place, the time to eat is undeniably here. These teens must eat so they have more strength to go around after the meal.

My favorite go to if I want to fill a hungry tummy. I just feel like I am having a home-cooked meal each time I do so.

After the meal, we still went around a little more and felt more of the chilly breeze before heading back to downtown. We would like to thank you for being with us until the very end. We hope to have you back in our next blog for another spot. See you next time😇

I remember when my kids where still in their teens, they are like running in marathons that you didn't sign up for, lol. They have full of energy and you try to match with their pace, it's fun but for sure, completely exhausting.

Yes, so true. Each time I get exhausted I always tell my that I am already weak for them and getting old hahahahaha. Oh teens, it's bumps and plains with them but our heart is always full having them. Truly a gift😍

It's amazing how the beauty of nature has this ability of immediately making you feel happy and calm your mind. Such moments make me realize how to cherish the little things in life and the peace that goes with it. It's great that you also had such a wonderful family weekend—nothing compares to good times spent with dear ones, building memories which will be etched for life, and enjoying the miracles of our planet.
