Good day and Good afternoon dear Hivers. How's weekend going? Anyone up for food or family dinner this weekend? Well for me I was invited to one of this local temple with restaurant just besides of it for some local delights dinner. Not that much of choices but it covered mostly what the locals likes. Join me and I'll show you.
As you can see this restaurant locate just beside a Chinese temple. From what I heard is this temple serves as a stage (olden time movie theatre) and a kindergarten school as well. Now only left temple and runs by family member and restaurant besides. And now is time for dinner as you can see is full table for dining in.
Lets see around what they offered here. Hmm many types of noodle. From fried and soup and some traditional Chinese cake with dim sum. Alright then, I think what I'll go for dinner today.
Tadaaa~ Let me introduce you what I got. Siew mai which makes from prawn meat, Fried kuey teow ( rice noodle ), pork porridge with (Youtiao, known in Southern China as Yu Char Kway) and ice tea tarik ( pull tea ).
Lastly I ordered this red red turnip cake aka carrot cake. Dont worry about the red sauce which is sweet ( to suits the locals taste) and fried scallop for more crispy texture. Cake itself is soft and bit salty with red sweet sauce and crispy scallop. Well combine texture when you chew it. Nicely done.
Time to grab my food then, Thank you for your kind support. So what do you think? Wanna give it a try? Till then, see you around soon. Bye.
