Hello to all Asean hivers!
I hope you are all okay specially those who are residing in the Philippines and was affected by the typhoon Paeng.
I will be sharing this DIY Christmas Wreath that I made while watching an episode of a kdrama series. This is made of pizza box and colored paper. I also used glue and tape as adhesive, sharp scissors and ruler/tape measure.
Cut the colored paper in 11" x 3" then fold it from end to end until 5 folds. Open it and fold it again back to back as shown above, the folds that was made awhile will serve as a guide. It will look like a stairs if done right.
Cut the other side diagonally to have a pointy edge and tape together the other side. Spread it and it will become like a fan, also look like the Philippines' National Leaves "Anahaw"
I made this wreath base from a pizza box, it measures 12". Tape our decoration on the base until it covers all. I cut four leaves like and glue it together to look like a sepals for poinsettia.
Paste the sepals at the top part, cut some red colored paper for the poinsettia's petals. Stick it one by one in a small piece of paper until it looks like a flower, then glue it onto the sepals.
My plan was actually to do it with my kids but unfortunately they are both busy finishing their school works so they can enjoy their free time on weekends and holidays. They helped me out it cleaning the paper cuttings and other materials I used. They were so happy 'cause this DIY Christmas Wreath looks good together with our garland on the stairs' handrail.
This is how it looks like if we turn off the light and turn on the Christmas lights.
Philippines celebrates Christmas the longest, most of us starts putting christmas decors as early as September and also starts playing christmas songs. You can hear it in every house even in malls and groceries store. That's why it becomes merrier.
I really appreciate your time reading my blog, until next time!
