Hello Asean Hivers!
I hope that everyone is doing fine.
During September 5 to October 5 the Teacher's Month is celebrated here in the Philippines but Teachers' International Day is on October 5. Due to limited face to face classes, each school celebrates Teachers' Day on different days. My eldest's school celebrated their Teachers' Day last October 6 while my youngest was last October 8.
Teachers are our children's second parents that why we want to give them a simple token of appreciation. We actually think for awhile about the gift we are about to give their teachers then we finally agreed to give them bento cakes or solo cupcakes.
These bento cakes are made of chocolate cake and whipped cream frosting, it was given to the teachers of my two nephews. I'm so glad that their teachers like their simple gift.
These two rainbow cupcakes are for my eldest's teachers because as she said they both like colorful things and we added golden dragees as a symbol of start, just like when the student did a great job s/he will receive a star. I really appreciate these two teachers for being patient and understanding to my eldest because she is still adjusting and the language they are using during classes is different from her previous school. My daughter never complain but she was so happy that in just a month we adapt very well.
The white cupcake with blue topper is for my sister-in-law's teacher, she forgot to bring one during their celebration of teachers' day so the next day she did. She told me that she feel sad that no one gives anything to her favorite teacher that's why she gave one though it's late and he liked it.
She is my youngest daughter and this is her first time going to school that's why she is so excited about everything. Her favorite teacher is Teacher Ruby who loves color yellow. I asked her why she is her favorite Teacher and she told that it is beacuse she is so caring and loving towards her. I'm thankful that Teacher Ruby and Teacher Camille is so patient and understanding specially when my daughter is having tantrums at school or online classes. When I was baking she help me out by beating the eggs for the cupcakes and after I piped the frosting she add gold dragees patiently. It will surely be delicious because it was made with genuine love.
She has two teachers but we brought 3 at the school because she wants to give one to the guard who always smiles and greets her. I was so happy that she appreciates this kind of little gestures from other people.
Once again, Happy Teachers' Day to all Teachers out there and of course to our parents, relatives or guardians who was our very first teachers. In my opinion, teaching is a challenging yet most rewarding profession. Why rewarding? Because one of my teachers told me that their students' success was also theirs.
That's all for today, see you on my next blog!
Stay safe!
