Sunset and Dinner at Bagan Lalang, Sepang

in #hive-1413595 months ago

I was watching videos on TikTok when I saw a video showing a family having various types of seafood for dinner. The video was taken at a restaurant in Bagan Lalang. I've been to Bagan Lalang a few times but I never took a dinner there.

The main reason is, that I cannot eat too much seafood due to my gout. But then I remembered that I hadn't brought my wife for dinner for her birthday. Her birthday was two weeks ago. But my schedule was so busy with the recent training trip to Switzerland and the tender that my company participated in.

After viewing the TikTok video, I asked my wife if she wanted to get some seafood for dinner in Bagan Lalang. Without hesitation, my wife said yes. So we planned to make a move from our house at 4 pm.

The travel from my house to Bagan Lalang is estimated around 2 hours of driving. Thankfully the traffic was smooth with minor traffic at the Bagan Lalang old town. We arrived at Bagan Lalang beach exactly on 6 pm.

Bagan Lalang Beach

Before heading for dinner, we stop by the beach to wind down and relax. My wife and daughters wanted to buy some snacks. They are rows of roadside canopy selling various type of snacks. My wife and daughters bought fries, keropok lekor and drinking water.

Enjoying the sunset

My youngest daughter wanted to have a bath at the beach. My wife did bring a spare shirt and pants for her to change after the bath. She spent 1 hour playing in the beach water.

While I, my eldest daughter and my wife sat down at the beach and enjoying the golden sunset. We stayed at the beach until 7.30 pm. After that we waited for my youngest daughter to wash up at the public shower room and change her clothes.

Dinner at Senandung Malam Seafood restaurant

After my youngest daughter changed her clothes, we then walked to the seafood restaurant. The restaurant is located 50 meters away from the beach. The restaurant name is Senandung Malam Ikan Bakar & Seafood.

We need to secure a table before queuing to choose the seafood for our dinner. We don't want to get a table that is close to the kitchen hence we secure a table that almost at the end of the restaurant.

Since it is my wife birthday treat, I told my wife to choose whatever seafood that she wanted. She chooses a kilo of crab, half a kilo of cockle, half a kilo of prawn, 500gm of squid, and 200gm of stingray. For drink, she ordered a jug of watermelon juice.

The total bill for our dinner was MYR170 which is cheap for Kuala Lumpur standard.

I think the moments on the beach before dinner are really quite interesting. In our country, such a shopkeeper sells food in a tent by the sea. I hope you had a nice day. Best wishes to you.
