To be honest, I'm not that fond of taking photos of my food. I find it an irritating act that delays fulfilling my hungry stomach, lol. Which I don't want to experience ever! Food should be enjoyed every time we take them. Sure, we can appreciate them more, but my kind of appreciation is savoring the foods, giving compliments on them, and remembering the feeling of when I am eating them, enjoying them to the fullest.
I didn't know before that taking photos of foods before eating them could be the best too. And seeing it's beautiful appearance can make me remember the feeling when I had it. I only learned about it when I started blogging, and it really has become a habit now that I also take photos of those foods before I proceed to eat them.
Even though I don't share them on any of my social media accounts, just like most people do, just seeing them in my gallery is enough. Yeah, I only take a shot at them because of the satisfaction I feel whenever I do. And it's a bonus that I can share them on this platform, which some appreciate too. Food is life, and making a copy of it using a camera is one of the best things we can do.
And you know, by doing this, if ever we run out of ideas for a dish or whatever foods we can prepare for the family, we can just look back and rummage through our own gallery to check if we can recreate those dishes that we had before. Isn't that amazing? We have our own cook book, the only difference is that it only has full images of those foods in it, which is more amazing. And we can just look it up on Google to get the full recipe.
Expensive-Looking Burger with Fries
Anyway, I couldn't get the chance to share this before, but I'm sharing it now here. This is one of the best burgers that I have ever had. It was way back in 2021 when my little brother went to visit Mindoro to celebrate Christmas with us. It was taken the night before Christmas Day. It's a fun experience for us because the place where we buy this looks so cozy. I also love the dim light, because I can remove my facemask to eat this. I'm still hesitant to show my bare face at that time, even now.
Anyway, me and Mama really enjoyed it. And every time we visit the park, she will look for this particular burger house, but sadly, they have already closed up. I'm not sure where they move, though. I can afford this now, but it's sad that they are not in there anymore. It's also the best experience for us because, aside from the delicious burger they have, which is accompanied by fries and a tomato dip for it, the place looks so expensive. I don't know, but I get a little intimidated whenever we go inside an expensive-looking place. Is it just me? (≧▽≦)
Breakfast Corner
Who loves taking breakfast? Some really don't eat breakfast, just some, and I'm wondering how they can not? I mean, with a combination of fried rice and lots of garlic, isn't that just too tempting for breakfast? I'm surprised there are people who can actually say no to that, but well, we all have our own likes, so we can't really say anything about it. What to do but enjoy savoring the moment of having breakfast?
So, we usually have our breakfast at 6 or 6:30 a.m. that's too early, I know, but if we want to function well, having rice is a must. Although we can only have this if we have some leftovers, But you know, I purposely cooked more rice for dinner so that we could have leftovers the next morning. Isn't that amazing? Hahaha. And these are the kinds of breakfasts that we like. Hatdog, egg, corned beef, and dried fish - come on guys, tell me you're craving them too.
Are you in for something sweet?
Having sweets from time to time is not bad, it's also like a reward. I can't have it all the time, but if I want one, I will really get one. Lucky for me, if we have chocolates that come from my old nieces, I don't need to buy chocolate so I can enjoy them. Although I can have the local one, which is super affordable, or liie imported one, the latter is really the best because its sweetness is just top-notch. So these two here are actually a gift to my oldies. I am always thankful whenever we receive some.
And these two are where you can buy on the road. There are people who sell them and bring them to us. I like the "taho," which is really good for breakfast too or as a snack. It was made with fresh silken tofu and with sweetener in it, or arnibal, then a "sago," which is similar to tapioca pearl. It could be my favorite, but it is so sweet that I don't eat it often. But it is also one of the best. Have you ever tried this? And then we have dirty ice cream. I love to buy this from my favorite seller, his ice cream is just really great and has more flavor in it.
It's Snack Time, friends (*❛‿❛)→
Snacks times! I made the first two when we had sweet potatoes and bananas at home. I made it as a snack, and it was also a request from Mom. They are just easy-to-make snacks that are sure to be enjoyable to some. The first is the sweet potato fries coated with caramelized sugar, and the next is the banana fries coated with rice flour and a little bit of sugar. This one is our favorite, both the newly cooked one and the leftover. I love the crispy version of it, but I also love the sticky version. It's the best!
Another set of amazing snacks. The first one was called "Bilao Package," which consists of 2 to 4 different kinds of food that are good for 4 to 10 people. There is that kind of promo bundle here when it comes to food here in the Philippines. This was a gift too, though, and it has an egg sandwich, spaghetti, pancit, a spring roll, and cheesy puto. We enjoyed it too when we received it. And next is a burger with cheese and sweet ham, it's one of the meryenda that I bought before. It was also a good snack for us.
And here's more, there's really a lot more, but I will share these for now. I hope you see some familiar foods here that you enjoy too.
