Good morning to you! Not here because it's been raining straight for 12 hours already. Typhoon update says it moves at only 10 kph. Omg. Can the typhoon go away any faster?
I'm supposed to clean my bathroom right now but toilet water is at the brink of spilling when I flushed it to test its water level. The toilet is what I'm most concerned of when it rains continuously because how would you do number two when it's overflowing? Lol. I just wish the rains rests for a few hours.
Anyway, going back yesterday morning, there were strong winds and electricity was unstable. It flickered a couple of times, also affecting my internet connection. But still thankful because there was no power outage.
And with electricity, I was able to cook my breakfast and dinner. Yes, I use an electric stove to cook, and yes, I don't eat lunch. Funny that this post talks about toilet and food. Both are somehow related though, because after you eat you go to the toilet. 😆🫣
I'm happy because, finally, I was able to cook the box of mac n' cheese I've been eyeing to cook since last month.
I also fried some bacon and added it on top and dusted it with dried parsley leaves. And since we're having a cool weather here, I paired the food with coffee. I felt a bit irritated while preparing the coffee due to the electricity that had just flickered, so I accidentally opened the packet of coffee with much force that some of it spilled on the table. 🤦♀️
I went out to our laundry area in the afternoon to put out the empty water gallon container and saw my mother's plant knocked down. I thought somebody dragged it down then I remembered the strong winds, so I pulled the plant up and made sure the pot is standing on a better angle. I returned back inside the house and felt a stinging pain on my feet. There were ants on the area where I stood while fixing the plant. The bitten area feels itchy right now.
When night came, I took this tiny led light with me in case a power outage happens while I'm in the kitchen preparing for dinner and washing the dishes.
It has a stand and a magnet so you can choose rest it on top of a flat surface or attach it on metal stuff. I attach it on the metal clothes hanger when I go to the bathroom.
For dinner, I cooked Tokwa't Baboy (Tofu and Pork) with vinegar dip, squash soup, and chocolate drink. I did the vinegar dip better this time. I thought I wouldn't like taste of uncooked red onion but it taste okay with the vinegar.
After eating, I received a message from my friend asking of my situation. Told her I'm okay. When I asked of her situation, she said rain and wind is strong on their area but still no flood.
I also finally listened to the full song of APT. It's a catchy song and I can't stop blurting "apateu, apateu". Help.
Hopefully, the rain lessens as the day progresses. Take care everyone and don't forget to stock some goods for occurrences like this. Stay safe! 🌞
