Hello! Yup, it's been a while and I'm glad I made it to this week's challenge. I was so busy last week with my business but now I'm slowly having more time. Whew!
This week's ASEAN Hive Challenge, "Paint, Sketch, or Draw", is about art and I don't want to miss it so here I am cramming. Lol.
I've been thinking for a while on what to draw for this challenge. The theme on my drawing is about birthday, strawberries, roses, and a cat being taken away by a bundle of balloons. This month is my birth month which is why I am having a birthday-themed art. February is also the month of love, thus, the hearts and roses!
And cat, of course, for Straykat! I think it's funny to draw the cat reaching for a bite on the strawberry while it's being lifted by the balloons.
I drew the girl sitting on roses to symbolize her feeling while eating a cake. Don't cakes make you instantly happy when you eat one?
I also wrote a "happy birthday" in white paint, just to make its appearance subtle.

I used watercolor to paint the drawing and used a black ink to make the outlines. I think this drawing took me around two hours to make. I also used a transparent tape on the edges to keep the borders clean. Of course, the paper I used is a watercolor paper since I am using watercolor. A bit rushed but I still liked the outcome. I really adore the cat!!!
I'm glad to have this challenge because it's been a year since I used my watercolor! :)
