Friends, last night my uncle's son Prateek suddenly came to my house. Not only did I have no idea that he would come home, no one in the house had any idea that he was coming. Then when he came home we chatted after that I asked him how did you plan to come here to Pune all of a sudden he told me that he is planning to go to Lohgad fort tomorrow morning.
His friend from Pune and he were going to visit Lohgad Fort together. After that, talking like this, he urged me to come too. And I also wanted to go trekking for a long time so I decided to go with him and his friends to see Lohgad fort. Lohgad Fort is very close to us from Pune. The approximate distance from Pune to Lohgad fort will be around 40 to 45 km.
We left at seven o'clock this morning to go to Lohgad fort. After that we all gathered together at Swargate in Pune and from there we all went to see Lohgad fort on bike. It took us almost an hour to reach the base of the fort. Then we parked our bikes there. Lohgad fort has always been a tourist attraction. Built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, this fort is very strong and impregnable.
The fort is open for tourists from nine in the morning to five in the evening after which a large gate is built at the foot of the fort and is closed at five in the evening.
Then we sat there for a while and then the gate was opened at nine o'clock in the morning after that we started to climb this fort which is very strong while climbing the fort with the lush greenery around the fort and walking through the steps through that forest it was really cold too. was ringing Actually even now this fort is made of steps to climb but actually in earlier times climbing this fort was very difficult. The main gate of the fort is indeed very strongly built.
Indeed, friends, these forts of Swarajya built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj 350 years ago were very strong and strong. Coming back to this fort today, it is like thinking how Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj would have built these forts in those earlier times. Because seeing this fort built on such a high mountain, its strength along with the art work done on the walls of the fort along with many things like finding drinking water reservoirs above the fort.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while building this fort, had constructed the fort in such a way that the fort would remain safe even if the guns of many invaders were fired.
One thing to tell friends that after seeing this fort I saw a living example of the skillful craftsmanship and engineering of yesteryear with my eyes today in the form of this fort. Friends, after seeing the many photos that I have taken of this fort while I was walking around, you will surely know how much labor and effort it took to build this fort and also the difficulties that must have been faced while building this fort on such a high hill.
There are many such historical buildings in many states of our India. I live in maharashtra so I am currently in maharashtra many things which are historical like our forts built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj 350 years ago these forts built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj there are more than 700 these forts in Maharashtra. This is one of the Lohgad fort which I have come to see myself today.
