I shared about Anteiku Cafe before in my prior post more than one year ago. At that time, this restaurant was still newly open. I brought my Mum, a very picky food critic here as well, she has a good review on the food. The only negative comment from her was she doesn't like the Japanese animation (which she thought is the cartoon) style of the restaurant's interior design. My Mum feels she seems too old and kind of awkward to have a meal in Anteiku Cafe.
For over a year, @butwo and I did not visit this restaurant. This restaurant had been doing good business. When we wanted to go there for a meal, it was always a full house with customers or been booked for party events such as birthday parties and cosplay gathering events. As for this month, we are lucky to visit this restaurant during non-peak hours for lunch. Not many customers at that time too.
Compared to my last visit to this restaurant, 50% of the wall painting had been renewed with new art. I think this restaurant is also a hobby centre for anime art lovers to draw their favorite Japanese animation on the wall.
The restaurant had added more choices of food to the menu list. It took us quite some time for us to select our choice of meal for our lunch date except for our beverage. @butwo and I try to cut our sugar intake recently. We just ordered jasmine green tea without sugar for our beverage.
Curry cheesy chicken katsu rice for myself and soyu chicken katsu noodle for @butwo.
I love Japanese type curry and have high expectations of the dish I selected. But, I get a bit disappointment as the curry felt like some ingredient missing added to this dish for me after I ate it. Maybe this restaurant's Japanese curry is not to my taste.
Whereas for @butwo noodles, he loves it including me who only tries out his dish for 2 bites. Since this dish is delicious, he felt this meal was not enough. He ends up buying chicken rice from the other restaurant outside for the second round of his late lunch.
While enjoying our meal inside, we saw an old couple older than us or almost the same as my Mum's age entered the restaurant for dine-in. At that point, I want to say to my Mum who not present that time, Who said this restaurant is only for young people to enter.
