For those of you who are Muslims, you may have heard of the famous fried chicken in Makkah. Usually the pilgrims of Hajj or Umrah, besides being solemn in worship, also hunt for this chicken menu because of the taste that is said to be very delicious. Luckily, on my Umrah trip two years ago I bought it and it was delicious.
Then the problem is, how when I miss the taste? Fortunately, there is a fried chicken restaurant in Indonesia whose spices and flavours are inspired by Al-Baik chicken. Of course, this is not a branch or franchise, this is just an innovation from local people who want to bring the taste of chicken with Al-Baik-style spices.
ALMAZ FRIED CHICKEN
Almaz Fried Chicken is said to be the pioneer of the flavour that brings out the most similar taste to the Sudi Arabian chicken. I also happened to miss Albaik a lot, so I ordered two pieces of chicken and a portion of nas kebuli. There are two variants between the original flavour or the spicy one. I chose both the spicy variant.
I ordered it in the delivery service via my mobile phone, because the shop was a bit far from where I live. Ordering via a service is indeed very helpful especially for people who are sometimes very lazy to just leave the house.
After about an hour of waiting, my order finally arrived. It was fast in my opinion, because the queue was full and the distance was also not bad. After thanking the delivery service, I immediately opened my order.
I tasted the two pieces of chicken that were not too big. When I saw the inside, the chicken was indeed very juicy and the flavour of the spices was soaked in. While eating, I recalled the Albaik that I ate at that time. Yes, there are similarities with the Saudi Arabian chicken. However, I think the original version is still delicious.
But no matter, at least, my longing for the taste of Albaik has been slightly relieved. As for the nasi kebulinya, it's clear that it's also delicious. I like it because it has raisins and other spices. I felt helped by the Almaz Fried Chicken.
For dessert, I ordered two cups of Tomoro coffee. It's not really relevant, but let's leave it at that. Ha ha ha. Two palm sugar milk coffees for me and my mum and closed our time together that day.
