During weekends, we make the ends meet. Every Asian household I know usually perform market and laundry duties during weekend, especially when almost all of the people in the house have work and school during the weekdays.
I woke up early in the morning of Saturday, feeling a bit under the weather but my mom told me that we're going to the market today. I can't say no of course because I can't let her go to there alone especially so when I know I could be of help. And I remembered that I have to buy a new black shoes for my uniform days.
This is the facade of our town market in the morning. It still kind of deserted but a few moments after, it will become crowded.
Our first stop is to buy meat because if we get late, there will no more left to buy. However, we passed by the plants section and again, I'm amazed by their beauty.
I miss buying plants but I have no time left for it. I'm still holding on though to go back in having a plant collection soon.
We got to the meat section. We only bought pork; we no longer eat beef at home because red meat isn't good and my papa has high blood issues.
Then we bought vegetables. I am very sickly so we always opt to buy vegetables.
Here's my little sister being silly all through out. She asks everything but it's fine. It's good that she gets curious about the things she sees.
After buying all the things we'll be needing for another week, we ate our snacks. We bought pancit. After that, we went to the department store near the market to buy my shoes. I'm happy with my purchase and I'm hoping that it won't get my feet hurting.
We also bough fried chicken for our lunch and later on, we're in the thrift stores (ukay-ukay). We buy most of our clothes here especially pants because it is much cheaper and has a better quality. You just need to have a good eye!
I treated my mom this time - she got two new trousers and I got myself one which I really love but I'll have to buy buttons for it. Still, it's worth it for me because it's very long, the color is nice, and the quality is still outstanding. (I'm planning to make an article about thrifting!)
When we're about to go home, we stopped by a coconut juice stand.
It was very delicious and refreshing, it's a good match for the prickling heat of the sun.
For the next day
It's laundry day time! Again, I started early because I don't want my skin to get burned. I washed all our clothes, pillow cases, and blankets.
I got tired and took a nap in the afternoon. I'm supposed to go to school for today but my colds and asthma got worse and I don't wanna spread the virus there haha. Plus, it makes me very uneasy and uncomfortable. I sneeze all the time and the rest is history.
My mama made champorado and it suffices my day!
That's how my usual weekend ended which I think is normally done by Asians. I have another week coming by so I'm gonna rest and will just accomplish minor works.
