4 yarn Balls for 20! How I buy Yarns Sometimes

in #hive-1413592 years ago

Being a Crafter/Crocheter needs some stash of yarns. Each one is different but what I noticed is that most of the crafters want to have more and more stash especially when they are doing it for business.

Hello, Hive friends! How are you all I hope you are well and happy. Today is Hive PUD(Hive power-up day) and be sure to power up at least 10 hives and post about it using HPUD. You may win some delegations and more; to find more about it, visit this post.

Anyway, back to the Title, I recently bought yarns. I am greedy so I bought yarns even if I have so much in my stash. One lovely morning, I was walking towards the bus stop and I passed by on a thrift store and saw some knitted yarns sold at 20 pesos. 20 pesos is less than half of a US dollar, very cheap, isn't it?

I have 50 pesos in my pocket so I thought of coming over and buying it. The clothes from the Thrift stores are mostly scraps from other nations imported here and people like me buys them.

I was in love with the knitted jacket so I paid for it even if I had little money left but when I went to the counter, I saw more of the crocheted items being sold for a very cheap price.

Some tablecloths and pillowcases were sold for 25 pesos and I wanted to buy them yet I won't have some money to pay for my commute. I really wanted to have the tablecloth even if it has some damage to it. I asked the teller to keep the tablecloth and reserve it for me and so he did.

I promised I will be right back in the afternoon after I go out of work. I am pretty confident that I will be able to buy it because I will be receiving my salary.

I reached the office pretty early so I started my work on ripping it, I've done it a few times and I already know where to start untying.

The sweater was pretty secure because it was backed up with sewing machine stitches.

I had to wear my facemask because I was very excited about working with it even if I did not wash it yet.

Lots of microfibers flew and they clung to my clothes. It was a bit itchy and Im sure, if I was not able to detect it earlier, I will be sneezing through the day because of allergies.

I was alone in the afternoon that Saturday so I was able to finish ripping the sweater and I got four huge yarn balls and it only cost me 20!

I'm not sure of what I will be making of it but the years feel like wool. I guess I will be making crocheted hats with it, bonnets or bucket hats will be my choice. But what do you suggest will be a good project for these yarns?

Do you do this way of yarn buying too? I f so I'd be happy to know about it.

Anyway, this day, I reinvited Paula to join HIve. I already invited Irene and she made a post last year yet she said she will not be able to do it again because her phone was damaged.

Sadly, Paula can't sign in the notification says she had a low IP score and "only one IP can... Can't remember what's next.

I've been encouraging them to join Hive, I only cashed out some of my Hive earnings also I accumulated some of it, and showed it to them for encouragement.

This will be all for today. I am making some crochet projects and I will be sharing them with you once it's done. Till then, keep safe nad stay happy.
