Christmas is coming and so the decorations are here but in my workplace, our old dusty stars were hung all year round since 2021 and no one cared getting them off the ceiling even the season was over and we were like 11 months ready for Christmas for the next year.
This is the last photo I took while the red small star was hung
After all these years the stars has accumulated lots of dust thus it lost its ability to reflect light and be bright
We only had these little stars as decors inside our office we were minimalist🫣 lol! But on the lobby there was a 6 foot tall Christmas tree, lights and wreaths that were used in the past three Christmas seasons. And. Because the stars were there for a very long time, my co worker Fonzy decided they should retire and bought a new set of stars.
He saw someone selling stars in the city while waiting for his shuttle passengers and bought some of the same color but bigger, the design was also similar and almost the aame with the old one.
Everyone present at that time was delighted and they rushed to hung them and replaced the old stars for thier retirement.
Thommy volunteered to hung the first two stars, the red one, nearest to my table and the yellow one on the center using multiple chairs to lengthen his reach.
Then into the manager's side, sir Loel volunteered as he saw that thommy had a hard time reaching the heights.
This is the most epic photo I took when he hung the star, and the three men on the ground are looking up to him and it felt like Christmas! I used to hear that when Jesus was born, the three wise men looked up on the star and traveled for many many days to reach him and gave gifts to the newborn child.
It's awful why I never felt Christmas spirit the way I did when I was a child, and I matured, all I see is additional expenses despite some additional pay I would recieve. lol!
Anyway, that's how our stars had retired, I tried cleaning them but they are too dirty so off they went to the bin after thanking them for thier service.
I don't know how long hese new stars will serve us but I bet they will stay up there even if the season was over.
What about in your end? Has anybody started the Christmas decorations yet?
