Social media is a part of over daily life nowadays, mostly internet users used different social media platforms on daily basis like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and tiktok, now the real question is why we used social media platforms and what we really want to get from social media platforms?
As we know the Most important thing is a economic incentives or rewards but we know mostly top centralized social media platforms are not rewarding their users directly but still so many users like to use these platforms for marketing, brand development to get indirect buyers or costomers for there business
Another thing is not all social media platform users are there for marketing or to introduce there business some are using these platforms just for interaction, entertainment and encouragement with other users
In reality different social media users are there for different reasons and purposes, another very important thing is people love to own their data and accounts hundred percent but unfortunately these centralized platforms don't give anyone hundreds percent ownership of there data and accounts, still we are using it because almost every one is there from prime ministers of a country to top TV, film stars
So the point is centerlized social media platforms have a very very large number of active users but don't have any ecosystem or mechanism to award their users with rewards and incentives also not able to give hundred percent ownership of there data to them but on the other hand Web3 or decentralized social media platforms gives us ownership of over data and accounts with economic incentives or rewards on over activities but don't have a good number of active users and encouragement
So if decentralized blockchain based social media platforms able to increase daily active users or over all users base then it will be a game changer, currently we don't have any top well known star or personalty on hive blockchain same as we have on Twitter or Instagram, when we are able to onboard these people then Web3 or blockchain based social media platforms will definitely over take traditional platforms and social media users will get all what they want at one place
