Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today
LEGO Firestation
One of the things that we've been doing with our son has been manipulating him a little bit. Only for his benefit for sure! Lol
We have been bribing him to get his school work finished with LEGO. I don't think that's a bad idea, is it?! LOL
This LEGO set here was awesome, it was a hell of a lot more complicated than I realized it was! Funny part about it was that we bought it for him last year but didn't end up taking it out until we were looking for ways to get him to do his work. If he finishes his work, he gets some new LEGO to play with. I'm not going to lie, I was just as into that as he was lol
There was all kinds of really cool details with this set! What was fun was the inclusion of not just the fire station but also a fire truck and a supervisor truck as well! I don't remember how much we paid for it but I don't think it was necessarily cheap..
I don't really know what some of the stuff was for, this looks like a cash register but at a firestation? Lol oh well still cool having some of these pieces at our disposal now!
One of the interesting things that I noticed with this set was that there were all kinds of really small details that I found cool! They had an extra helmet lying here, a speaker system at the tip there and just other small things that wouldn't really be something I would think of putting in there!
Another one that I wasn't sure what they were going for here but maybe it's a support person or something lol.
The firetruck was really cool! The only tough part about it was that it didn't entirely fit in the station when you pulled it in and tried to shut the door. Was still a fun truck to build!
They added a supervisor truck too!
Overall the building was actually a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be lol. There was supposed to be a helicopter with this set too but I think we lost some of the pieces to it so we didn't end up making it.
What was really cool too here was the rolling doors for both the supervisor side and the firetruck side.
Overall the set was really complicated and a lot different than I thought it was going to be! I don't remember what we paid for but it was definitely worth the money. We are trying to weigh the buying of bigger sets like this or keep doing the smaller ones for now. I think we had a great time building and playing with this but it took a lot longer than we thought it was going to, so maybe not too many of these just yet!
