It's been a bit of a cool week here so far. It started off rainy, and although that's long gone it's still just isn't warming up. But I don't mind having to use a jacket every now and again, because most of the year it's beautiful here. Especially now that the fires are under control, finally! Thousands of people lost everything in those fires, so I am very grateful to still have a home.
It's been a couple weeks since I shared a LEGO post, and today feels like a LEGO day. It a more relaxing post, after all they are just toys! For those new to my post on the subject, I like to buy old sets at thrift stores or garage sales and flip them to earn some extra cash. Most of the time I strike out when I'm at store or sale, but every now and again you get lucky. Sometimes really lucky! I've found bins before that take me months to sort through, and I have a few of them sitting around still as a matter of fact...
But first I always like to share the truly valuable LEGOs that exist out there. Many are made of silver or gold, but most are just plain old plastic. Today's featured figure is just plastic, but worth a lot of money. This is a Spider Woman mini-figure that was raffled off at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2013. Only 350 were raffles off, making it an exceedingly rare item. It will only set you back at least $5,800 if not more.

Sadly I don't own one, probably because I've never gone to Comic-Con... But keep your eyes peeled if your at a thrift store, sometimes valuable items like these are accidentally donated to thrift stores. It's happened before and will surely happen again.
Now onto some of the LEGOs I've been working with the last couple of weeks.
SUV with Watercraft Set
I posted one mini-figure last time from this set assuming it was a windsurfer, I was wrong. After searching the bin more thoroughly I realized it was part of a different set altogether. This is a LEGO City set, which aren't nearly as popular as some others, but I should be able to get at least $25. Worst case scenario $20. These came out of an older bin that has already more than paid for it's purchase price, so all profit here. Not all buys are so lucky, always look for somewhat intact sets with instructions. Fortunately, it had instructions so it was and easy set to get listed!
The vehicles even have license plates, although European designed. After all LEGO is a Danish company...
And the two mini-figures both come with life jackets setting a good example for children!
Small Star Wars Score:
A few days ago I found a small bag of mini-figures at a thrift store. Most looked pretty pathetic, but there were three decent looking Snow Troopers. While not the most expensive mini-figures I can probably get $4 a piece and I paid $3 for the bag. Tiny profits pay in the end!
As for the rest of the mini-figures in the bag, they were pretty sad, but they can be used for parts in the future. Eventually I'm sure I'll run into some other Star Wars figures that may need the parts, if not I could sell them as a damaged lot worst case scenario...
These guys are not Star Wars, but LEGO Movie which aren't all that valuable. But they came from a bin that has more than paid for itself multiple times over, so these are pure profit!
Garbage Man Grant
Not expensive but I might get $5, which isn't too shabby...
These are all from the LEGO Movie, robot cops or SWAT team members. If I get $5 a piece I'd be happy! Excuse the dust, I just pulled them out of a dusty bin!
And Deputron sadly missing his hat but should pull in a few dollars. The hat would have helped! I should have used a different background for his picture since his arms are tan. But ever since I built this tan background it has been my favorite go to item. He'll need a green one for sale pictures I think.
That will just about do it for today. I hope you enjoyed seeing the LEGOs, especially the insanely high priced Spider Woman. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them below. Thank you so much for all of your support, it is greatly appreciated! Have a great day everyone!
