Monomad: Pollen-Smeared Face

in #hive-1421598 days ago

I caught a honeybee pollinating the coat-button flowers that lined the side of the road. I noticed that the bee was alone. It was quite enthusiastic about landing on each flower one by one. It finished its work quickly, stopping to suck nectar for no more than 10 seconds until the hairs on its face were smeared with pollen. I have no idea how many flowers it has pollinated. Maybe dozens, maybe hundreds. Once it is full, it will return to its colony. I think it will be back to work as always tomorrow.
