This little guy was found on our afternoon walk along the riverbank. The waist-high reeds that line the riverbank are a hangout for insects and spiders. This thread-waisted wasp is one of them. This loner has chosen his spot on a dunhead sedge. The antennae on his head are constantly vibrating, detecting everything around him.
Meanwhile, his black bean-sized eyes are constantly watching me. No one should cross the "red line," as it could be interpreted as a threat. I am careful with this little guy; I don’t want to be seen as a threat. I came to have fun with him, that’s all.
