Roads are something that normally don't get noticed because we generally pass through them on a vehicle on a high speed. But if you are into photography you probably stopped on some of them to take pictures.
I am one of those. I like both driving and photography so sometimes while I am driving I have passed through some roads that I thought they deserved a picture so I had no option that pull over and take out my camera.
The picture below is from one of the most iconic places in Australia, the Great Ocean Road. It is a road that for several kilometres you will be driving along then coast with impressive views. This road is it not actually that road but one that is perpendicular to it. I was driving on the Great Ocean Road at sunset time when I looked to my left and saw this empty and long road with the sunset in the background. I had to stop and take a picture of it.
Believe it or not, what you see on this picture is actually a road, a peculiar one, but a road. It is located in Fraser Island in Australia. This island does not have properly asphalted roads but we are talking about the largest sand island in the world so its beaches are infinite. Basically the only way you can move around by car is on the beach so this will become a road, with its traffic signs included. Just a fun fact, on the beach you can even see an airport for small aircrafts!
Another road along the sea, this time in New Zealand. This road located on the west side of the south island apart from being beautiful as it is, if you drive at sunset time you will get the golden colours on the mountains and water, a really distracting drive. I drove for like two hours on this road and I have to say that it still is one of the most beautiful roads I have ever driven on, like most places in New Zealand.
In this last picture we can see an empty road somewhere near Melbourne. I drove for quite a long time and I didn't see any car. I was totally alone. Reason why I decided to make a stop and take pictures of it. It was very long with a lot of vegetation around so it gave a relaxing feeling.
