During the Regional Student Art Week on the campus of the Indonesian Arts and Culture Institute (ISBI) Aceh in Jantho City, Aceh Besar, I photographed several paintings displayed there. The painting is one of the objects that attracts visitors' attention. The corner which is a painting exhibition gallery is never quiet.
All the paintings displayed there are in color, although there are some paintings displayed in dark shades. For example, a painting about a traditional Acehnese house which I think is very interesting and has a strong message.
The painting shows a traditional Acehnese house. In the yard of the house there are female dancers, and in front of it there are sea waves. The painter probably wanted to depict an important incident regarding the enormity of the tsunami that hit on December 24, 2004.
Some of the other paintings are more surreal which might be more difficult to translate. All the paintings are the work of ISBI Aceh students which are displayed there. And I display it in the form of #monomad.
I had to travel about 6 hours from home to take this photo and stayed two nights in Banda Aceh. There are many costs involved in traveling, apart from lodging costs. Thank you for everyone's support.[]
