This is my entry for #monomad challenge by @monochromes.
Sacra di San Michele is an amazing building near Torino and Avigliana city (Piedmont, Italy).
I have talked about this place here.
Today I will publish some black&white pictures, I think black&white is more adequate to describe past atmosphere.
The main wall of Sacra, built on the top of Pirchiriano Mount.
Bricks and rocks as an unique structure, reiterating the link between man and nature.
Mountains are the spontaneous prayer of the Earth:
A painting of the Sacra made by Francesco Corni:
Archivolts of the church, on the top of Sacra building:
Saint michael the archangel:
Under the Sacra, small villages, where things seem to be as centuries ago....
('Via alla fontana' means 'Way to fountain)
