The evident harmony of Les Gets in black and white: the French Alps in monochromatic mode

I took these images in December, a month where even though the snow had receded a bit, I was still amazed by the landscape with so much white.

At that time I was not yet into the adventure of hiking in the mountains and enjoying the snow at high altitudes. By that time, moreover, a big snowfall had already passed and we were lucky to have a few days of rain that washed away much of the accumulated snow.

However, as I mentioned, for me the scenery was equally beautiful, so I was amazed at every step and from every new angle.

Hola queridos amigos de Black and White y de toda la plataforma de Hive, espero que estén pasando un día hermoso. Esta es mi entrada para el #monomad challenge de hoy. En esta oportunidad les mostraré unas fotos de Les Gets en blanco y negro.

Tomé estas imágenes en diciembre, un mes en el que a pesar de que la nieve se había retirado un poco, a mí me seguía sorprendiendo el paisaje con tanto blanco.

En ese momento todavía no me adentraba en la aventura de caminar por la montaña y de disfrutar de la nieve en las alturas. Para ese entonces además, ya había pasado una gran nevada y estábamos a la suerte de unos días de lluvia que se llevaron buena parte de la nieve acumulada.

Sin embargo, como les mencionaba, para mi el paisaje era igualmente precioso, por lo que me soprendía a cada paso y desde cada nuevo ángulo.

I took some of these photos from one of the windows of a chalet belonging to the company I work for. We had to do the general cleaning of the place and put all the furniture in order, as the winter season was about to start.

Although the job consists of cooking, welcoming guests and cleaning, after the week of training, it was cleaning time, and the truth is that there came a time when it not only became heavy, but it began to hit me in the ego somehow, the fact that I was not exercising my profession.

I have nothing against cleaning, in fact when I have been a volunteer in hostels, this has also been one of my tasks, but for some reason, this time, it got to some part of my mind that I did not know.

Anyway, in those days when my mental order was reeling, these landscapes brought me back to the present and reminded me of my purpose and why I took this job.

Tomé algunas de estas fotos desde una de las ventanas de un chalet de la empresa para la que estoy trabajando. Nos tocaba hacer la limpieza general del lugar y poner en orden todos los muebles, ya que estaba a punto de inaugurarse la temporada de invierno.

Aunque el trabajo consiste en cocina, bienvenida a los huéspedes y limpieza, tras la semana de entrenamiento, tocó limpieza, y la verdad es que llegó un momento en que no solo se hizo pesado, sino que empezó a golpearme en el ego de alguna manera, el hecho de no estar ejerciendo mi profesíón.

No tengo nada en contra de la limpieza, de hecho cuando he sido voluntaria en hostels, esta también ha sido una de mis tareas, pero por algún motivo, esta vez, llegó a alguna parte de mi mente que desconocía.

En fin, en aquellos días en que se me tambaleaba el orden mental, estos paisajes me traían al presente y me recordaban mi propósito y el motivo por el cual acepté este trabajo.

Les Gets is a beautiful village, I think I have already said it several times in other publications. And its magic lies in the constant changes that the landscape presents as winter progresses.

With more snow or less snow, it shows facets and colors that begin to play throughout the days.

Its sunny days, cloudy days, rainy days and snowy days, bring with them the different instant and the consequence of such climatic process. Every day is a surprise, and although weather apps warn very well about future conditions, the landscape cannot be predicted by technology, you have to be on the spot to see it.

Les Gets es un pueblo precioso, creo que ya lo he dicho varias veces en otras publicaciones. Y su magia reside en los constantes cambios que presenta el paisaje a medida que el invierno avanza.

Con más nieve o con menos nieve, muestra facetas y colores que empiezan a jugar a lo largo de los días.

Sus días soleados, los nublados, los días de lluvia y los de nieve, traen consigo el instante diferente y la consecuencia de tal proceso climático. Cada día es una sopresa, y aunque las aplicaciones de clima advierten muy bien sobre las futuras condiciones, el paisaje no puede predecirse mediante la tecnología, tienes que estar en el lugar para verlo.
