Philippine Brown Shrike (Lanius cristatus lucionensis)
Nickname "butcher birds or the predator."
Brown Shrike has a brownish upper body with a rufous tail and wings.
it is a carnivorous bird, feeding on small reptiles.
Here i was lucky and saw it with a small snake for breakfast. Poor snake does not have a chance to escape the butcher bird :) I've seen this bird eating mice and worms. And it does use plants thorns or even barb wires like a fork to tear apart it's victims. A clever bird.

Even with this lens i do try to get closer. 15 meters and below is best if you can without scaring the birds. Thank You.
