How interesting when we leave the comfort zone and begin to experience other styles, another way of seeing or appreciating the streets, It is when we start to change the way we compose and the results can be quite optimistic. I've been reading a lot more about geometry in street photography, the use of lines and shapes, finding points of light and shadows and ultimately other types of scenarios that I didn't think about before.
These first 4 photos show some of this, although I need to find better places, I am starting in this theme or genre with a lot of patience... right in one of the points of light.
I found this part of a building in one of the streets, the trees reflected shadows on the wall, there were spaces of light and I waited for a person to pass by there.
I also wanted to take a simpler photo, just that old window with that little balcony. It is also impossible not to capture the lines of the pedestrian crossing.
I think that just as musicians have to educate their ears, photographers must educate their sight, vision, the way of perceiving and the imagination to compose. Lately I shoot less than before, I reserve the amount of unnecessary shots and I focus more on looking for good scenes or at least what I think is good or interesting.
I'm always looking up, after walking a few blocks I found this building reflecting the clouds and part of the trees in the glass.
Another horizontal shot, half of reflections from another building and half of clouds and trees.
An additional shot with the shadow of these branches in the composition. An old residential building in the area.
During my walk along the old disused bridge in Palermo, I kept this shot in my head, I took two photos because I wanted a black and white one. The padlocks are other details that I like to photograph.
Zapata Street at 200, part of a building with elegant architecture and an attractive corner in the area.
I hope you have a great day :)
That's all folks. Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
