a typical Indian kitchen has stainless steel plates, glasses and storage containers. they are quite practical though it took a little time for me to get accustomed to dinner served this way. so today i noticed a nice mutual reflection between two steel surfaces and thought they would make a good entry for the reflections contest in the Shadow Hunters community.
so i set up a steel plate and glass on the kadappa stone table in front of our house and took some shots. in a minimalistic sort of way there was a lot more than mere reflections going on in the images. so i thought i would take a chance and post them here in this challenge. now this may try the limits of the fine folks at monomad but i don't think it would be the first time.
so here goes.
the dull gray kadappa worked nicely as a backdrop and i like the shots so much that i washed an empty steel container thoroughly and took a few shots of it with the same plate as earlier.
in this last shot i stood the plate diagonally against the container and was amazed to see that the round plate created a crescent shaped reflection
