Have you ever asked yourself the question - what does a person need to be happy? Are all the material benefits, like buying a new phone or showing off the latest model sports car an expression of happiness? I don't think so...

Nowadays very few people realize what exactly happiness is. Wouldn't we be happy if we didn't have the latest phone? With today's shots I'll try to prove to you that even in the little one can find happiness.

My day started like any normal day. The normal commitments, but I managed to find time for a fragrant coffee drunk in pleasant company. That's one of the things that contribute to happiness for me. When a person is surrounded by their loved ones and friends, they feel happy. When he has the opportunity to tell them about his achievements and they share their joy with him. This is really important. Money is not everything. On the contrary. A person is hardly satisfied with what he has. But here is the time to say that if we learn to live humbly and not always seek material gains, then we are truly living and happy.

I was observing the people passing by, but one elderly woman made a strong impression on me. She came into the coffee shop alone and ordered a piece of chocolate cake and a short espresso. She sat down at the table next to ours. She ate the piece of cake and drank the coffee with relish.

In her entire stay, she never once took out her phone and stared at its screen. Something very few people manage to do nowadays. I looked around. The other customers were relatively younger. Whether they were alone or with their friends, no one was communicating, just staring at their phone screens, waiting for perhaps some very important information.

This is the 21st century. Face-to-face communication has shifted to communication through social networks. The idea of sitting down for coffee with a friend and sharing what happened to us is no longer top of mind. I feel like people are embarrassed to communicate in person. Social networks have replaced normal contact between people and this is increasingly contributing to young people not being able to express themselves properly.

I found it endearing that the elderly lady turned to me and spoke to me. Of course we immediately offered her to sit at our table and introduce ourselves. The broad smile that appeared on her face stayed as a memory in my heart. Even she had noticed the fact that all the customers in the cafe had their eyes glued to their phones and no one wanted to communicate. We talked about many things with her. Time definitely flies when you have nice company to enjoy coffee with.

Shortly before we parted ways with the elderly lady, I received extremely good news. For about 20 days I have been organizing a fundraiser to help the father of a very close friend of mine. It turned out that with the help of good people we managed to raise the whole amount, which was not small at all - 2500 euros. At times like this, one definitely feels happy to have helped someone in need. That was the end of my stay in the cafe. I said goodbye to the elderly woman.

P.S. Do good! Don't hope for permanent material benefits. Don't think money will bring you happiness. Happiness comes when all your loved ones are healthy, you have the opportunity to see them and enjoy the moments shared with them.

Thanks for your attention!!!
