Beaches have been part of my life since I was five. Even now the call to 'head to the beach' hit about once a week - even if it now means getting in the car rather than strolling up the street.
But almost everything important happened at the beach, from teenage adventures away from parents to first kisses, first break-ups, last break-ups. From meeting random people who wouldn't stay that way for long re-forging friendships
There is something about the meeting of water and sand which prompts thinking, spurs on thoughts, creates possibilities and dreams.
