Monomad Challenge: Pollinators portrait

Another blissful morning to capture, it has been a while and I'm back to having that fun moment again. Do you know that broccoli is know as flower? I just knew that today, they say it is harvested before those buds are fully open and we all eat as vegetables, I think cabbages should also be in this class.

We can never be out of what to take photos of, just got up to see cool flowers and insects which I would later love to share with the community in b/w. I so much admire the pride of Barbados due to its nice petals and colourful look, some of them change in color as they grow. My brother planted one in the garden, I loved the steady and slow color transitions, I wasn't expecting that but i went back the next morning seeing that same color mixed with a new color, it was a red yesterday, a full red but i then saw some touches of yellow .

This color grew till it became the secondary color, taking the most part of the flower while the red was just used as the touches. I love nature so much cos it doesn't lack amazing things, you will just see many facts about them and how lovely they're.

I don't know the the tale or story behind its name "The Pride of Barbados" but it should be something extraordinary. Their seed pack looks like a cowpea back. I remember In my school exams, we were asked to draw a sectioned part of the seed pack with the seeds nicely arranged. I splitted it up but still allowed them to be attached to their node and they still looked like pairs, the seeds were sticked to the body. I flicked it over and placed it on the drawing space provided, I made a quick sketch to make it look perfect and original, took it up and I drew those seeds. I really like it's interior parts a pack could contain up to 10 or 8 or more depending on the size of the pack and the fitting size of the seed.

Here is another amazing photo I was able to capture, i don't know how this insect is called, but it feeds on bitter leaves. In my state, Akwa ibom state we have a very good plantation of bitter leaves and you will likely find them there, I just went down to the leave checking through for them, they camouflage a bit based on their colors, it blends to the leaf I really saw how amazing nature is. Its mouth looks like a boring one that drills , or I should say a wide and large proboscis, but to clear the fact I think they have maxillaes and mandibles which they use to tear of the leaves.

I was so surprised to see them fly, they have wings that the rarely use and they make use of it when they're in big trouble.

The grasshoppers are nice creatures that moves about in bushes and gardens, very easy to find. They're many species of grasshoppers and are colorful. Some are grasshoppers while others are locust, I find it tough sometimes to different them, maybe I failed to this time time again, lol.

The blend with their environment, the green grasshoppers are mostly found in the green areas, it will make it difficult for predators to see and also make it easy for them to catch their prey.

Sunflowers are the beauty of gardens, they shine and are colorful like the sun. It is easy to find a sun flower.
