I haven’t seen much Kombis around. Some stuff marked a whole generation, and even stayed beyond it. I think that the great ideia from this vehicle is to have joined two very useful things into one: the box and the wheel.
You can put a lot of stuff inside a box. And the wheel added the advantage of moving things faster to any place. That worked pretty well during decades.
Não tenho visto muitas kombis por aí. Tem coisas que marcam uma época e até perduram além dela. Acho que a grande sacação na criação da Kombi foi ter juntado duas coisas super úteis em uma só: o caixote e a roda.
O caixote você pode botar um monte de coisas nele, e a roda acrescentou a vantagem de você poder levar essas coisas para qualquer lugar de forma mais rápida. Isso funcionou muito bem durante décadas.
I remember going to school inside a Kombi. It was very efficient. It was cool seeing the landscape through those windows running outside, until people changed their mind about transporting children inside a box. Kids are not tomatoes that, by the way, goes inside another box. Humans get unsatisfied with everything. Maybe just to create new stuff and replace the old ones.
Maybe with a little creativity, Kombi could receive another meaning. And since we live in a constant changing world, with big brands inducing every social behavior, maybe would be the case of thinking a new use for this old and useful vehicle before it gets recalled from the streets for good. And for the new Kombi, I would rather think of a new format to adjust to our modern vehicular needs, I would suggest more like a spaceship format.
Lembro de ter ido para a escola numa Kombi. E ela desempenhava esse serviço com muita eficiência. Era um barato a gente ficar vendo a paisagem correndo lá fora através de suas janelinhas. Até que alguém implicou com o fato de criança não poder mais ser transportada num caixote. Criança não era tomate, o que, aliás, vai dentro de outro caixote. A humanidade vive implicando com tudo. Talvez só para poder criar novas coisas e substituir as antigas.
Talvez com um pouco de criatividade, a Kombi ganhe uma sobrevida; e já que vivemos num mundo em constante transformação, em que as grandes marcas ditam os padrões de comportamento e consumo, seria o caso de se pensar em um novo formato para a velha e utilíssima Kombi, antes de retirá-la em definitivo das nossas ruas. E para desassociá-la do clássico formato caixote e dar a ela uma configuração mais ajustada aos padrões veiculares da atualidade, eu sugeriria o formato de nave espacial.
