I want to share with you these photos I took at a fair held in my community. In East Havana, among the amalgam of old iron and artifacts that tell stories of the past, an intriguing sight stands out: a mechanical device that rocks in the air, a boat suspended amid laughter and screams.
The flights in the air become visual metaphors for the human capacity to reinvent and transform the old into something new and exciting, and amidst laughter and games, photography becomes a means to immortalize this ephemeral instant. Each image taken is a testimony of the connection between the past and the present, where the fair stands as a stage where dreams and reality converge, between irons that whisper stories and flights that defy gravity.
