From the things I love most about street photography is going out on the street with no fixed route and with an attentive gaze observing the small details to find beauty in the little things that many people often overlook and find beauty in the everyday moments.
I will use the photos in this publication as an entry to the #monomad challenge contest.
I will start with this photo in which I used leading lines as a composition method, the lines of the sidewalk invite you to walk the entire photo and you discover the people as you look at it.
De las cosas que mas me gusta de la fotografia callejera es salir a la calle sin rumbo fijo y con mirada atenta observando los pequeños detalles para encontrar belleza en las pequeñas cosas que muchas personas suelen pasar por alto y encontrar belleza en la cotidianidad.
Usaré las fotos de esta publicacion como entrada al concurso #monomad challenge.
Empezare por esta foto en la cual utilicé las lineas guias como metodo de composicion, las lineas de la acera te invitan a recorrer toda la foto y vas descubriendo las personas a medida que la vas viendo.
I took all these photos yesterday, it was a rainy day so there were many people using umbrellas!
Todas estas fotos las tomé ayer, fue un dia lluvioso asi que habia muchas personas usando paraguas!
I found it very curious that a Volkswagen Beetle car, being such an old car, had the Apple logo jajajaja
De la siguiente foto le parecio muy curioso que un carro volkswagen escarabajo, siendo un carro tan viejo tuviera el logo de apple jajajajajaja
The next photo is my favorite of the day, technically it's not perfect BUT I like that i focused it on the hands and the bills.
La siguiente foto es mi foto favorita del dia, tecnicamente no es perfecta PERO me gusta que la enfoque en las manos y los billetes.
I took the next photo because I found the gentleman on the corner talking on the phone very interesting, but since I had a 55mm lens at the time I couldn't zoom in or anything, when editing the photo I realized that there were many more things going on in the photo and I decided not to crop it, so the photo would have more layers and depth.
La siguiente foto la tomé porque me pareció muy interesante el señor en la esquina hablando por telefono, pero como tenia un lente 55mm en ese momento no podia hacer zoom ni nada, al editar la foto me di cuenta de que habia muchas mas cosas sucediendo en la foto y decidí no recortarla, asi la foto tendria mas capas y profundidad.
At a traffic light I could see a man juggling to try to get some money to survive, next to the man we can see a fire truck, which led me to think that if Venezuela did not have such a screwed up economy maybe these people would be military, firefighters or police, as a way to at least ensure a fixed salary.
En un semaforo pude ver a un hombre haciendo malabarismo para intentar obtener un poco de dinero para sobrevivir, a un lado del hombre podemos ver un camion de los bomberos, lo que me llevó a pensar en que si venezuela no tuviese una economia tan jodida quizas este tipo de personas fueran militares, bomberos o policias, como manera de almenos asegurar un salario fijo.
The next photo is quite vintage, very Venezuelan.
La siguiente foto es bastante vintage, muy venezolana.
And a couple of blocks further I found something even more Venezuelan, motorcyclists having to queue up to buy gasoline...
Y un par de cuadras mas adelante me encontré algo mas venezolano aun, motorizados teniendo que hacer fila para poder comprar gasolina...
I find the next photo interesting because there was a gentleman walking covered in plastic bags to avoid getting wet in the rain... I framed the photo in such a way that it seems that the glasses advertisement is watching the gentleman...
La siguiente foto me parece interesante pues habia un señor que iba caminando cubierto de bolsas plasticas para evitar mojarse de la lluvia... Encuadré la foto de tal manera que parece que la publicidad de lentes está observando al señor...
Little by little I am seeing more subtle things that I couldn't see before and I feel that I am improving in this art of street photography...
