When I take a walk in nature, I never know what I am going to find, no plan other than maybe looking at some pathways on a map, deciding which ones to take, and which lenses to bring with me. The outdoors does the rest. I like the mystery, and not having much in the way of expectations adds to the magic. Sometimes I have gone out expecting to capture certain things and find they don't present themselves, so going in and just letting it happen seems to draw out the interesting encounters. Squirrels and dragonflies start to show up and present themselves in ways that make it easy to get some great shots. Nature finds a way.
