This sunset that I caught while looking out on the Glenmore reservoir in Calgary was a special one. The clouds were layered in such a way that the rays of the sun could beam though and almost look like light coming down from the heavens. It was only for a brief few minutes that the clouds looked like this before parting and giving way. I wasn't even expecting to catch something so awe inspiring and I don't know if I will ever get the same effect again. The final shot shows the clouds slipping away as the sun ducked below the horizon capping of a spectacular evening on the Glenmore reservoir.
