Balancing Responsibilities: Caring for Cows, Chickens, and Dogs

in #hive-14215910 months ago

Today I am alone at home. I will have to take care of the cow and chickens. I will have to prepare food for Dhondu, my dog.

Hello hive family. I hope you all are healthy.

This morning I wake up early, it is very cold outside, so the first thing I do is light a fire in the stove and start cooking food for Dhondu and myself. After that I go to the cow stable, milk the cow, feed it to the chickens and go to Narkanda market with the milk. I give bread to Dhondu and ask him to guard the house.

After delivering milk at Narkanda Market Hotel, I return home. Dhondu is not at home. We do not leash our dogs.
I have breakfast and then wash the utensils. Dhondu is also coming from the forest side. Kalu is also with him. Both of them were driving away the monkeys. Nowadays, there are a lot of monkeys in the forest, although there is nothing to eat in the fields.

I tie the cow outside in the sunlight and go to the fields which are in front of the house. Today I plant cherry trees in the fields. It takes me a lot of time to plant cherries and I also feel tired. I have lunch and take a nap for a while.

After waking up from sleep, I leave my chickens outside to feed. It is nice to spend time with animals but taking care of them is a difficult task. As soon as evening comes, I lock the chickens in the pen and I collect wood for the stove. After lighting the fire in the stove, I cook dinner and listen to old Hindi songs on Mast Radio. Sometimes it's nice to listen to old songs on the radio.
