Monomad challenge - The rooks

in #hive-1421592 years ago

This post is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

Title: The rooks

The most numerous birds in the winter are rooks. Most often they can be seen in the field on arable land where they feed on the remains of agricultural products.

In rural areas they dig up backyard gardens with their beaks for insects and seeds. They spend the early morning hours grouped in smaller or bigger groups on the trees. In urban areas they eat discarded human food.

They quickly flee to a safer location in response to a loud noise. A few birds are acclimated to human presence and can be approached intimately, whereas the majority of birds allow for some degree of close proximity.

My dream is to travel for the sole purpose of meeting rooks in real life. 🖤
They are beautiful!!!! And weird. Weird is good.

To fulfill your dream you'll have to travel to Europe. They are beautiful and smart birds that can be train 'easily'.

Yay, I'll be able to make "Rook Cams!"
One day...

Yes, these birds mostly move in groups and don't look beautiful. They can be seen a lot in the park near our house. During one of the photography sessions in the park, they were walking around us.

I don't think they are ugly. They can be annoying though.
