Hail to the Hive!
In two weeks we will be leaving this beautiful place as we slowly chug our way north along the UK canal network at a sedate pace of 3mph. We are having mixed emotions about it all as we have really grown to love the area and the friendly people we have met here. This Marina is lovely and has a great vibe with the residents on the boats being extremely warm, welcoming and friendly. Oh and very laid back.
As I was flying the drone from the Marina I asked me neighbor if it was going to bother him while he worked on his boat and he said no not at all. I sent him these images in black and white soon after and he was so taken with them he chose one to have printed off to frame in the boat. This made me smile as it’s always awesome when someone appreciates what you’ve captured.
I’ve also gotten back into the rhythm of using my drone again for stills and not just video and I am loving the results. But with views like these how can you go wrong?
It also has me wondering about what we will see on our upcoming adventure and what images lie in wait for me to discover and share.
So we are happy, sad, excited and nervous all at the same time right now. I have a funny feeling we will be back down here though. It has a real charm that is easy to get comfortable with.
