Today marks 10 years since I picked up Guillermina, my cat, from the street when she was just over a month old.
Hoy se cumplen 10 años de haber recogido de la la calle a Guillermina, mi gata, cuando apenas tenía poco más de un mes.
And since she is black and white, I wanted to dedicate a post to her for her birthday, and participate in the #monomad challenge with these photos I took a few days ago especially for this community.
Y como ella es blanco y negro, quise dedicarle una publicación por su cumpleaños, y participar en el reto #monomad con estas fotos que le hice hace unos días especialmente para esta comunidad.
The locations I used were the different spaces in the house where she usually spends time, either for curiosity, fun, rest or napping. As you can see, the first three pictures are in a window, which is from the kitchen, she loves to climb up there in the mornings while we prepare breakfast.
Las locaciones que utilicé fueron los diferentes espacios de la casa donde ella suele pasar tiempo, ya sea por curiosidad, diversión, descanso o la siesta. Como pueden ver, las primeras tres fotos son en una ventana, que es de la cocina, le encanta subirse allí por las mañanas mientras preparamos desayuno.
Another thing Guillermina loves to do is to bite, especially my hands 😱, at any time, even if she is asleep, her first reflex when you touch her is to try to bite, and she has an incredible strength, like a shark 😆.
Otra cosa que le encanta hacer a Guillermina es morder, sobre todo mis manos 😱, en cualquier momento, así esté dormida, su primer reflejo al tocarla es intentar morder, y tiene una fuerza increíble, de tiburón 😆.
And it's not that she doesn't allow herself to be petted, of course she does, but not always when I want her to (typical of cats). What happens is that his personality is also like his coat: black and white, bipolar, sweet and bitter, anyway... 😂
Y no es que no se deje acariciar, claro que sí, pero no siempre que uno quiera (típico de los gatos). Lo que pasa es que su personalidad es también como su pelaje: blanco y negro, bipolar, dulce y amarga, en fín... 😂
But apart from that behavior, in general Guillermina is a very calm cat, she hardly gets into mischief.
Pero apartando ese comportamiento, en general Guillermina es una gata muy tranquila, casi no hace travesuras.
One of the times of the day she enjoys the most is the sunset. There is a corner between the living room and the kitchen where the sun's rays rest at that time, and she stands right there, to receive that illumination.
Uno de los momentos del día que más disfruta es el atardecer. Hay un rincón entre la sala y la cocina donde se posan los rayos del sol a esas horas, y ella se pone justo allí, para recibir esa iluminación.
With the morning sun she is less tolerant, I don't know if it's because most of her fur is white and absorbs a lot of heat, but I was able to take a few shots of her while she was in the sun in the hallway for a couple of minutes at that time.
Con el sol de la mañana es menos tolerante, no sé si es porque la mayor parte de su pelaje es blanco y absorbe mucho el calor, pero pude hacerle unas tomas mientras estuvo un par de minutos donde pega el sol en el pasillo a esas horas.
