Today I came across this Black and White community and I really like it. Monochrome photography is not something I believe is very popular on the Instagram and Facebook communities. Or maybe I just don't see it that much. Nonetheless I believe it's a very interesting type of photography and art. Without colors the importance of light and contrast becomes bigger and in the mean time images can become more clean due to less distracting color contrast.
It's a genre I haven't practiced a lot but I will definitely try doing more of it in the future. My entry for the #monomad challenge is a little series of the Dolomite in Northern Italy. The weather was quite dark that day, and since there was not so much color to be found among the grey rocky mountains I figured the images would be more interesting in Black and White.
