Walking through the streets of La Concordia in Caracas, I came across a church that caught my attention. I didn't know its name, but its facade captivated me so much that I couldn't resist taking a black and white photograph.
Black and white photography has something special, which makes it one of the most fascinating forms of artistic expression. With the absence of color, attention is focused on form, texture, and light, elements that become the protagonists of the image.
In this case, the church facade, with its arches, columns, and sculptures, became a game of shadows and lights that created a mysterious and evocative atmosphere. The texture of the stone stood out with the contrast of black and white, giving a sense of solidity and antiquity.
The truth is that I didn't expect to find such a surprising beauty in an unknown church, but this black and white photograph made me realize how wrong we can be by overlooking the most commonplace things. It's an invitation to stop and observe with attention, to discover the hidden beauty that is found in the simplest things.
