Adelaide street art - Monomad challenge

in #hive-1421593 years ago

As you walk down the street, near one of the tram stops, under the bridge, you will very often come across some artists, who are showing their artistic talents, spraying on the walls and trying to get the whole area look a bit different.

It got me a bit interested and decided to put this out here as part of the #monomad challenge.

The area itself looks a bit dangerous, I mean I wouldn't want to walk around there on my own in the late evenings, however probably looks are a bit deceiving. Because the artists are doing their art during the day, you can see they must have some sort of permit to do so and aren't really considered as rebels of any kind.

When you look through the door area, you can see spray cans on the floor. I would hope the reason is they haven't been fully used yet, as the garbage bin is right next to it. But who knows.

The art on the building is a tribute to singer Sia, who is actually from Adelaide and even that street is named after her.

I still remember when it was being done and it took the artist quite a few months to finish it off.

Well done to all the artists!

Thanks for reading/watching, hopefully you enjoyed some of the street art.
See you next time!

wow the black white photography really makes it! usually street art is kept in color on purpose, really interesting! I've also been to Adelaide, but I never really noticed it here. Great that you show them to us here :)

Thank you, yea It took me a while to really stop and notice it, even though I worked around the corner for 3 years !

Very nice street art. It´s surprising with what kind of art and inspired expression some people decorate our urban environment 😀

Yea, art is always something that anyone can represent differently, I guess that's why it makes it unique. I wonder what the artists were thinking while making it

Just like mine, but I post in color. Sadly I must pick you.

Except she's not constantly getting rewarded by the same voting circle and has a lot more comments and genuine engagement from other people. Must be sad being caught milking the rewards pool but someone needs to give you a reality check.

Must be sad spending days picking on others because you're angry and frustrated. It's quite simple, if you don't like a post, move on and focus on those you like. But it's obvious this isn't about the art, but you having problems with hive in general. Frustration and bullying won't get you far in life mate. Have a good day

It is very sad! I agree fully with everything you said. I love your art as I do mine. Can I see what it looks like in color?

Of course, no problem! I respect anyone's opinion, I wasn't too happy with the coloured version of these particular photos (last one is nice in colour too though) which is why I chose black and white. It might be as it was raining on the day and B&W made it a bit better. Enjoy!
