Good morning , #Monomad friends
There are places, moments or occasions that mark us in a way that time can hardly obliterate. One such place for me was my trip to the island of Cuba in 2010.
Here I'm sharing some photographs I took then, which I've now edited to bring out their full potential and their ability to convey the message I mentioned at the beginning.
It's certainly a place I miss, both for its very different culture and for the conditions in which many Cubans found themselves, but which they somehow managed to overcome on a daily basis.
In these three photographs as a whole, the people photographed are certainly tourists. However, not so infrequently, I witnessed various everyday scenes among the locals, where smiles were always part of the faces trampled underfoot by life's adversities.

Há sítios, momentos, ou ocasiões que nos marcam de uma forma que dificilmente o tempo consegue obliterar. Um desses locais, para mim, foi a minha viagem à Ilha de Cuba em 2010.
Partilho aqui umas fotografias que tirei então, e que agora as editei de forma a conseguir extrair toda a sua potencialidade, e a capacidade de passar a mensagem que inicialmente referi.
Seguramente um local que me deixou saudades, quer pela sua cultura tão diferente, quer pelas condições em que muitos Cubanos se encontravam, mas que de alguma forma, conseguiam ultrapassar diariamente.
No conjunto destas três fotografias, seguramente que as pessoas fotografadas são turistas. Contudo, e não tão pouco frequentemente, assisti a várias cenas quotidianas, entre os locais, onde o sorriso fazia sempre parte dos rostos pisados pelas adversidades da vida.
