One of the trending challenge in the body of Christ is the issue of envy. Let's consider this scripture
Galatians 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Envy is not a character of a genuine child of God. There are factors that propels one to envy. It's an attitude that emanates from an ungrateful heart. When you don't appreciate what you have, you would envy another man's business.
Lack of contentment normally opens the door to envy and you don't understand the potential of God over your life. For instance Sarah in the book of Genesis ran out of patience and opted for a maid from Egypt which she later hated. She never knew that God will answer her and bless her with a baby. When the maid gave birth, the spirit of envy was stirred up. When you envy a thing, you will covet for it and the rate of hatred will also increase.
You may not have everything today but that does not mean you won't have it tomorrow. God's timing is always perfect and the best. Many people are desperate and lack patience to wait that's why they end up being overwhelmed by the spirit of envy. Learn to discipline yourself and be your self.
