Hello everyone, welcome to pukumundo week 19, the theme of this week is the singing voice and I chose to sing an alternative rock song by coldplay titled “fix you”.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Coldplay are a British rock band that was created in London in around 1996, they consist of five members which include a vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, a guitarist Jonny Buckland, a bassist Guy Berryman, a drummer Will Champion and a creative director Phil Harvey.
They are a phenomenon band with hits like yellow, clocks and so on, and they have won numerous awards including a grammy for best rock album.
With a passion for music, they have diversified their music over the years with different albums from pop, funk, rock, jazz and so on.
ABOUT THE SONG
The song fix you is such a beautiful song that speaks about love, loss, growth, and learning from your mistakes.
I remember a time in my life were I went through a dark phase and this song brought me out of it.
The amount of times I have cried to the song is crazy but it shows how much it means to me.
Fix you was recorded in 2016 and it was written by all the members of Coldplay as part of their album X&Y and it was a major hit when it dropped winning a load of awards.
Anyways, this is my rendition of this song and I hope you enjoy listening to me.
