Visiting Tokyo Toy Show 2024

in #hive-1439615 days ago

My boss asked me to go Japan for visiting the Tokyo Toy Show 2024 weeks ago, I didn’t hesitate to accept his invitation because I thought my wife would be busy with her new job, unfortunately the new company that she joins got a lot of problem and now she already left that crazy company, not sure if she can get her pay still, if not, will take a lawsuit to her company for sure.

Back to the Tokyo Toy Show, I haven’t visit Japan for more than 7 years, my last visit in Japan was in Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe with my wife back in 2017, I didn’t entry the crypto world backward otherwise I could immediately share my trip to you guys.

Before we depart to Tokyo, my wife worried about us too much as reportedly said there’s a super hurricane approaching Tokyo, it would hit Tokyo upon the date of our arrival. And she tried to stop me, then I said it doesn’t really matter, I am always good luck.

Guess what, the hurricane ended up change the route hitting the west of Japan, so there was nothing happened in Tokyo. It was super sunny when we arrived the airport, so my wife was reassured.

We had free time in the first date of arrival because the show was opening to the buyer by 29 Aug, we left the hotel at the morning 8:30 am, we took the metro to the exhibition while the weather was raining drizzly but it didn’t bring us too much trouble anyway.

Since it was my very first time to visit Tokyo, I need my boss to lead me to everywhere in order to avoid trouble, that’s why I stick with him all the time during the whole trip. After 35 mins of metro, we arrived the Tokyo Big Sight Station, my boss told me that people created a nickname to this station as Big Saw Station as there is a super large Saw shape model down stair the bridge, see picture 3 above.

Saw a really big sight of the 2024 Tokyo Toy Show before entering the center, as said, this show from 29-30 Aug is not opening to the public, it's opening for buyer, exhibitor, etc only, there wasn't too many people at the first day.

Unlike the New York Toy Fair / Nuremburg Toy Fair, hardly seen too many visitor while we were on the way to basement 1, but I should correct what I said while we were on escalator heading down to the hall, they were about to start the opening ceremony, and there were about 100 people waiting already.

I don't understand Japanese, therefore I simply took some images then took a sit to rest. The show started at 10 am, still got time to sit down to check email, well, I still need to take care daily routine stuff even I am traveling outside.

Finally we could get in to the hall to see the booth, we had 6 appointment at the first day, therefore we didn't have too much time to walk around, it's more important to have meeting with potential customers to get more business to survive.

Hope you guys enjoy my pictures and story of the Tokyo Toy Show 2024, have a nice day, cheers.

It seems that in Japan everything is big. I love the giant saw!! 😃 Business trips are exhausting and leave no time to get to know the places you visit well.

Yes except the hotel room, it’s super small unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the hotel room to show you guys😅

Em not that one, we still had the whole room with toilet anyway

Oahh you had a toilet, what a luxe!! 😂 (I’m conscious of it can be a real luxe in some places)

Yes, I tried to stay in the residential room via AirBNB when I visited Osaka back in 2017, no individual toilet there, whole floor shared the one toilet room. 😫
