on a rather empty photo-hunt, I was so happy to see this solitary ant. resting on the Lantana fruit. Not sure which species it is, but the color of the hair suggested it is from the polyrhachis, but this one doesn't have any thorny spine, which makes it not fit for the genus.
The size of this ant is quite big, and that might be the reason for its calm state when I was photographing this ant during the photo hunt. It just stayed still even when I moved and twisted the branch where it resting.
He might think that his size and also the defensive mechanism that this guy has is enough to keep him safe even from me. With that behavior it is better that I just took a photograph, and let this guy went on with their mission, and didn't mess around so much. Better safe than sorry isn't it?
