A Run Down for the Week

in #hive-14396last month

We let our little guy play outdoors the second day after we got home from LHI. He needed it after spending most days and nights in the car (with me) while Papa was confined. Everyone may know that pets are not allowed inside the hospital even when you are in a private room. We don't have a sitter so we bring him wherever we go and make certain adjustments when necessary.

So yeah, we gave him the go-signal to explore the upper portion of the farms. The hubby was with him and they went to check the tractor. Here he was, already wet and muddy at half-past eight in the morning. He seems to be enjoying the view from up there.

By mid-morning, he was exhausted from his little adventure and rested by the dirt. Oh boy, look at his feet! The mud dried on his paws and looked like pellets or something, lol!😅 That reminded the hubby to reserve some space in the yard or at least in the driveway where we could grow grass for the poor guy's playground since we will be staying here anyway.

He played again to his heart's content until yours truly called him for his bath. He looked up at me as if he was trying to confirm his playtime is over.

It took me almost an hour to clean and groom him up. He was on his airbed around mid-afternoon and spent a few hours sleeping just like any other day when he gets to go out and play.

The next day, the husband drove to our town for some errands and we (the lil guy and I) stayed. The rain stopped for some time around 11 am so we took the chance for a quick adventure up the hill. At that time, I put him in his bag and carried him on my back, lol! I had a tough time cleaning and bathing him the day before so I was not keen on letting him run loose again too soon.😅

We found some wildflowers along the way and fungi too! Google Lens identified the plant as Urena Lobata or Caesar weed, a common shrub across most countries.¹ Well, just as A.A. Milne said and I quote, "weeds are flowers too, once you get to know them."

The fungi, on the other hand, were already decaying. They were on a rotting tree branch. It's nice that we can also find mushrooms around here just like in our lil kingdom. I love sharing about them. If I'm not mistaken, this type of fungus is called Portia.

Meanwhile, on the 24th, I found this shiny insect outside trying to climb the small stone. Just when it was to reach the top, it fell to the wet ground looking so helpless.

It struggled for a while and eventually made it through the help of a friend. Lucky one, huh? I left it where it was afterward.

Anyhow, GL has it that this shiny orange with metallic blue elytra bug is called Aplosonyx Philippinensis, a type of leaf beetle.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, we did nothing but stay indoors because the heavy rains made it impossible for us to be out. We did have the eroded soil in the driveway cleared.

Today, we are heading out early to check on my FIL (father-in-law) and may go home to our lil kingdom afterward. We have not been there since the 15th and we miss it already. Ciao for now and have a terrific day (night), everyone!

That rain needs to be shut off there and the sun needs to visit. That bug is cool looking, it's so glass looking that it appears to be taking on reflections.

Still gloomy today but at least the rain gave us a break :) Yes, the bug did catch some reflections on its back :)

I'm glad your little guy had such an adventurous week. I like how he enjoys the outdoors. Happy Thursday FG !PIZZA

Thank you, RM. I think he gets bored too when kept indoors for so long. Happy Saturday to you. 😉

That's one muddy puppy!

Yeah, haha. Naughty lil one. He got muddy again today.

what's the name of your cute doggo? He surely enjoyed his time drenching his paws in the mud 😂💖

We call him Anyongi. He loves his playtime while I freak out at times when he gets so dirty like that😅

What a cute dog indeed.
Seems you know your dog's language, hehe. It's good letting pets have their special time with their care takers.

Thank you. Haha, I was trying to understand him :D

I never knew it could take you a hour or more to clean your pet
It shows that you take good care of it…

Oh, it takes that long to clean him, especially with the mud and other things that got caught in his hair/fur and then he needs blow-drying :D

😂It gives me that the furry little one had a great time. I hope that your father-in-law's thing is resolved well and soon, it is true that as at home you are not anywhere else.

He sure had the time of his life, lol! He loves running around and getting dirty. Papa is well and good :) His tests yesterday were all clear so he was happy :) Thank you, Paloma ❤️ I hope you're having a fantastic weekend.

Oh, I’m glad to know that the test results were good!!

I have a dog too, but he hates to get dirty because he doesn’t like baths. 🤣

This dog really looks so cute

Thank you :)
