Magandang buhay!
Sometime in the last week of June, we had lunch in one of La Trinidad's food houses, the Calajo Restaurant. The hubby and I loved to dine in this place when we were living in LTB.
Also, during my tenure in the city, my best friend and I used to have lunch in its main branch 2 kilometers away. A co-worker teased us saying we made it our kitchen because we were there almost every working day. Well, they serve good food and a variety of options, hence it was one of our favorite places.
I digressed but back to that lunch last month, we were at the restaurant after our midmorning stroll. It was quarter to noon and thankfully, there were a few more available tables and as I mentioned before, they allowed Anyongi in. We took 2 round tables close to the stairs thinking our pup might get stressed around many people.
Fortunately, he just stayed in his chair and observed quietly.

One of the things we appreciate about the place is that most of its diners are not loud unlike in other restaurants where people converse as if they were in the market, lol!
By the way, here are a few things displayed a few feet from where we were seated. The first photo on this post is one of them. They even had an antic lamp which we referred to as "Petromax" ages ago, lol!

It took us a while to decide the food we would be having, then waited for the attendants but they were busy so the hubby went to the counter for our orders. Meanwhile, I could not resist photographing this. I must say it is a nice reminder because in our busy lives, sometimes we forget.
It took me back to the phrase I used to add at the bottom of my posts a few years back and made me wonder why I stopped.😊 Here's a screenshot of it from one of my old posts.
Anyhow, the salads came first and it was the only dish that the hubby photographed, lol! Well, that happens most of the time when we are with family. We rarely take photos of the food.😅
(Similar but not the same photo was shared previously.)But yeah, several dishes were served to us that day, including Tofu, grilled pork, pancit, etc. We had a good time chitchatting and catching up after the meal and left around 2 in the afternoon to pick up some stuff at the agri-center.
Took this snapshot of a cute Suzuki Jimny at the restaurant's frontage. My nephew was curious he asked how much the SUV costs. Her mom said it should have an M (million) to its price tag (and she's right).
And there, we ended our wee rendezvous at Calajo with them going to the nearby parking for their car, and the hubby and I taking the PUJ to the market square where we left ours. That was the first time Anyongi rode a jeepney and he wanted to be looking out by the window😅
Will there be a second time? We shall see :)
